Introducing the new TOURING HANDLE
MRDW David Wise Collection - Adjustable Poles

David Wise designed & tested our newest Adjustable Pole. The unique 2 section design utilized a graphite composite lower section with an adjustable aluminum top section.

This eliminates the stress points in the lower section compared to competitors' models due to the durable graphite composite material

ADJUSTABLE FROM 110 - 145 CM. LENGTH
  • GRAPHITE CARBON COMPOSITE TECHNOLOGY - High modulus carbon fiber graphite lower section replaces the outdated aluminum of most ski poles, resulting in a pole that reduces vibration with every pole pant and is extremely lightweight and durable.
  • EASY ADJUSTABLE LOCKER - Quickly adjust the length of your pole for powder days, cruisers, and uphill hiking.
  • INCLUDES 2 OF BASKETS - For those all mountain days cruising and powder days you dream about you can use the 9 cm diameter Powder basket. The hex basket is best for cruising hardpack and groomers.
  • CARBIDE TIP - Tough and sharp carbide Zip Tip with teeth allows for precise pole plants and secured grip in any condition.
  • “ZIP TOUCH” DUAL DENSITY GRIP - Our signature “trigger finger” ZipGrip is built with thermoplastic (TPU) and contours to your hand, preventing your gloves from slipping. Velcro Straps are easily adjustable on the fly

Excellent all mountain ski poles.

I’ve taken these ski poles out to the slopes twice, tackling around 50 runs through a mix of beginner, intermediate, and advanced trails. Right out of the gate, their durability impressed me. Despite my skepticism towards adjustable poles and their tendency to slip under heavy use, these stood the test with flying colors, remaining steadfast throughout. Their lightweight design meant I barely felt them in my grip, a notable plus.

Aesthetically, they’re quite appealing, though I observed they’re somewhat bulkier at the top. This didn’t impact their performance in any noticeable way, however.

In terms of value, these poles are exceptional, easily earning a 5/5 rating from me.

A couple of points to mention for potential improvement:

1. The wrist straps could benefit from being longer to accommodate those with larger wrists. Standing at 6’1”, I found it somewhat troublesome to fit them over my gloves.
2. It was a surprise to find they included two sets of baskets, a detail not mentioned in their description. I had preemptively purchased an additional hex basket for skiing in the northeast, which turned out to be unnecessary.
